The first texture I will add to this photograph is "PDPA Blue Me Away". Here's what we got:
To achieve this somewhat painterly look in PSE, I took the following steps:
Applied texture to photograph.
Used Overlay Blend Mode - Opacity 100%
Used a Layer Mask to remove most of texture from flower head.
Flattened layers. Duplicated Layer.
Filter>Dry Brush - reducing opacity of dry brush effect to 37%
While this vivid, more abstract look may not be to everyone's taste, it does give you a feel for other looks you can achieve with textures. I hope you will experiment with these two new textures and send me a link to show off your work. I always do my best to comment.
So just scroll down. Two free textures await you!
I am linking this post to the following photo sharing challenges:
If it is Friday, it means it is time for a couple of freebies for YOU here at Pixel Dust Photo Art. I know you can have a lot of fun with these two textures and, as always, I really appreciate links you provide to any images you edit with them.
Have a wonderful week dear friends.
