Free Texture Time!

Hi my lovelies ... how are you?  Here we are mid-week and mid-August already!  Is it time for another little texture 'fix'?  I thought so.  :)

I have two free textures for you today - one just slightly different from the other in tone and intensity of texture.

I also have a little favor to ask of you ... would you be my 'tester' this week?

All that is required is to download the textures and test them on a few different types of photographs (trying them out in several different blending modes and levels of opacity) - see what you think - and come back here leaving a comment with your feedback about each texture.

I'm not easily wounded - so don't be shy to leave your honest feedback.  :)   It will help me with these two textures, and also to know a bit more about what you are looking for in a texture.

I have not had the time to test these two, but judging by past texture creations I think they should be good.  However, with textures, you just never know.  I have occasionally been certain I had produced a gem only to find, upon testing, that they did not produce the results expected.  So I thought rather than wait to post until after I had tested them, I would ask you to do the testing this week.  Are you up for it?

Can't wait to read the reports on the results of your testing!

Terms of Use for Free Downloads:  You are free to use my textures to enhance your personal or commercial artwork. Please do not claim them as your own work, regift them or sell them as is. I also ask that you do not use these textures with the addition of slight adjustments to make your own textures. Copyright still applies after download. I am only agreeing to forgo copyright once they are incorporated into your own art or photo editing work.

  1. Both are beautiful !!! The first one is very gently and lucid. The second one is a bit like a frozen window in the wintertime. The colors are pastell and in harmony. I love your textures !

  5. Bonnie, I played for an hour or so with both, and I love them. For me, and for the photos I was using (flowers of course!!), I found that I always used the multiply blend mode first, masked some off, and then used another layer or two with soft light. Great results!

Thank you so much for sharing these!
