Photo Art Friday, March 9th - 11th

Welcome to Photo Art Friday!

Hope you are all well.  I've had a bad sore throat for three days, and it feels like it is going to turn into bronchitis - can't stop coughing.  Oh well ... this too shall pass, right?

This week, as always, you can showcase any piece of your photo ART, OR a piece of photo art that has elements 'hidden in plain sight'.  For a more detailed explanation of what I mean by 'elements hidden in plain sight', click here.

Here are two examples of composite images that have elements hidden in plain sight - you just have to give your eyes and mind a bit of time to notice them.  Don't forget you can click on the images for a larger view.

Created with pdpa textures, public domain images and text.

A composite of photographs processed with PSE Filter "Wave", and text.

For next week's PAF you have three options:

posting any piece of photo ART,

or

photo ART with element(s) hidden in plain sight - encore

 or

photo ART that highlights the color GREEN

Three choices!  Something for everyone!

  6. Hi Everyone,

I'm going to bed early - in hopes I can shake off this virus ... BUT I have looked at all the submissions (though haven't left comments yet) and WOW!!! You should all be very proud!

If this were a workshop, it would be fun to hear the story each of the viewers would tell about each piece. I'm sure we all see different things - some of what is there - and some of what we project onto the image from our own experience and perspective.

I go to bed INSPIRED! Thank you ... for everything.

  9. Hi Bonnie!
As a newbie to this kind of work (mixing with textures etc) I have to just see and learn. I think this is a great "forum" for that. Love all the beautiful textures you create.
I particularly like the last piece,- the colors blend in together, and the text that pops up here and there!
    Get well soon:)

  12. Good Morning! I hope you are feeling much better today.
Your pieces were great. That 1st one is so interesting. I really like the images you used and there is a part that has, $$$ for Illusion that I thought was cool.
The 2nd piece is a fun mixture of color and hidden words.
I'm still not sure of the whole (hidden) image theme and how to do what you did so my piece is more Photo Art although it could have hidden intentions if you think about it.

  15. Bonnie - thanks so much for putting the effort into coming up with creative challenges that allow us to stretch our photo manipulation skills and even our definition of art sometimes. It takes a lot of work to manage that weekly and make samples of the challenge, etc. Thanks for being so generous with your time and knowledge.....

  18. Hi Bonnie - I "love" your marriage of images. You always stretch my imagination even though I didn't get to work on "hidden in plain sight." My mind was definitely working overtime. Hoping you will be feeling better soon. I'm trying to catch up from "jet lag," and shoring up my system against a cold, also. Let's win! Hugs from Alaska. Karen

  19. Bonnie, do take care! I got the flu and it has lasted a month! Every time I thought I was feeling better, I'd get up, only to be back in bed with chills within an hour. It isn't playing around, this flu! Please, rest and take it easy!! We love you and want you around. But, well! LOL

    Hugs,

    Su
