hold that good thought ...

If you are looking for Photo Art Friday, September 7th, 8th, just click HERE or click "HOME" in my header.  Thanks!  :)

Well ... here we are at home instead of the hospital.  My husband received a call from his surgeon last night informing him that the surgery was postponed until next Mon. or Tues. due to two new and more urgent cases.  We were all prepared practically and emotionally and .... poof .... a change of plans.  That's life, isn't it?

The postponement throws a wrench in our two daughters lives - one who travelled two hundred miles so she could be with us today and the other who will now be on holiday in Spain when her father is in hospital.

We are all trying to adopt the perspective of the quote above, that "... all things are unfolding just exactly as is best."  It is much better on every level to surrender to what we cannot change instead of internally resisting and resenting what is.  So we go with the flow ...

So many of you kindly offered to think good thoughts and to keep us in your prayers. Felt I should share this news with you so that you would not be doing so in vain.  Your generosity of spirit is deeply appreciated.

  1. Bonnie- well I'll take a page from your book- so well said. Surrender is all we can do at times... things fall apart so something better can come together sometimes (even though it doesn't FEEL that way.) Prayers and good thoughts and lots of positive energy coming your way! Will be thinking of you... all of you ...

  3. Smiles, Bonnie; never are special positive well-wishing thoughts and prayers in vain - that is for sure! Will continue to keep your family and loved ones, you and your husband especially in my continued thoughts next week. Yes, all things go as they should whether we are kicking or not. I like to keep balance and try to remain calm and give up the process - fabulous quote from the I Ching. Love "chi" and hugs always. Karen

  9. Bonnie, I'm sorry about the change in plans...it must be tough to re-adjust your minds to the new schedule when you were mentally preparing yourself for a specific day. Your family is in my thoughts and I will continue sending prayers! I hope your husband's surgery on Monday/Tuesday goes smoothly and without complications.

  13. Your family is in my thoughts, Bonnie. Since I've been writing more these days (and throwing a lot of paper in the garbage);),and less photography I find by skipping around many web-sites I do miss things. need to do more combining of the two things. I''m glad I read this post..and I hope everything will be just fine.
